Maybe I'm too much of an Enthusiast.
Maybe not
enough.
I put up this heading on this site because I could imagine all of the things that I would put down that make
me sound like a gloriously well-rounded individual. You know, lacrosse, antique stool collecting, amateur meteorology, hula-hoop
construction.
Problem is, I don't think that I am gloriously well-rounded. I'm kind of lumpy, with certain parts sticking
out in an odd fashion.
My enthusiasms are often so temporary that you could call them, with more accuracy than would
make me comfortable, fads. Certain songs or bands, authors, sports, skills, crafts, and hobbies circulate through my life
like those tasty tempting cakes and pies on an diner's revolving dessert tray.
Others, like theatre, become bizarre
callings that I spend years laboring over, spending all my financial and other resources to support.
So I guess the
best I can do is to give you some idea, in the column to the right, of some of these current enthusiasms, along with maybe
some links so that you can share at least my passing interest in them as well.
